The Inclusion Project Foundation's First Responder Autism Training

The Inclusion Project Foundation's First Responder Autism Training

The Inclusion Project Foundation is now offering sensory training to all first responders!! This is so near and dear to our hearts. Why? My son’s autism causes him to elope without fear & be aggressive and nonverbal in high stress situations. Most of you all know we are a law enforcement family and while they have amazing training, they are not fully equipped on how to spot those who may have invisible disabilities and how to properly help when necessary. In 2020, the CDC reported that 1 in 54 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with autism, effecting all ethnic and socioeconomic groups. Those with autism are seven times more likely to encounter police than neurotypical individuals. It’s inevitable that we worry about our son’s future, so we decided to do something about it in an effort to ease that for us and other parents. We are so proud and excited to announce that we have teamed up with Blue Bridge Autism Training to offer autism training to all first responders and each vehicle will be gifted a sensory bag. These bags include noise cancelling headphones, communication cards, fidget toys, and more. You read that right: GIFTED! Sensory kits are provided at NO COST to the departments! This is all made possible with your support! 100% of proceeds from purchases on our website are poured right back into our community. Want to know more?
